Cevisama Curiosities: The Favourites

Rounding off our Cevisama Curiosities is a selection of our absolute favourites from the show. Full of texture, glaze effects, shapes, and joy, these tiles all sit somewhere special in the Curiosities hierarchy.

Coming as a twosome, Kyoto and Arco from Natucer are a pair of tiles that took our tile-addicted breath away. The metallic sheen from the Raku glaze, the intriguing colours, and the textural play combine together, creating absolute magic for your walls.

At Cebimar‘s stand we were treated to fabulous colours, delightful glaze effects, and perfected formats (including some gorgeous baby metros), with each and every display worth a look.

These stunningly refined perforated bricks were the first tiles to make it to our highlight list. Sartoria‘s Split Loop Milk blends the organic, multi-tonal glaze with a fine, intricate fan pattern for a show-stopping look.

It wouldn’t be our favourites list without talking about the incredible Brutalist Brick Crackle tiles from Amadis whose pocked surfaces and craquelle glaze team up to create a wonderfully dynamic collection of tiles. Anybody who has listened to our Podcast knows how much I enjoyed Ceracasa‘s koi-pond tiles. Deco Japan’s vibrant pinks, greens, and oranges adds so much life, playfulness, and colour that it stayed with me the whole show.

Finally, Vives‘ curious Luca collection finds its place amongst our favourites. Taking inspiration from lava, amoeba, and truncated domes, this curious range of decors and intense colours stood out as one of the show’s most unusual designs, wonderfully diverse in its applications and aesthetics.
