Five tiles that take you underwater

A few weeks ago we took a look at a few fabulous tile collections inspired by landscapes, but today we’re going underwater. These curious designs take cues from the sea and the rich and vibrant world that lives there.

1) Paper41 Lux Jacques from 41zero42

Amongst their many magnificent large format tile wallpaper designs, 41zero42 keep a bold and beautiful coralscape in intense shades of aquamarine, hot pink, and ethereal iridescent tones.

2) Gaudí Hex from Codicer95

The unusual and organic shapes and textures of Gaudí’s architecture are translated into tile with spiralling shells and starfish populating the corners of these multidimensional hexagonal tiles from Codicer95. The same enticing texture can also be found in a range of colours and glaze effects with Gaudí Lux and Gaudí Reactive.

3) Tresor de la mer from Versace

Found last year at Cersaie within the bouncer flanked Versace stand, the Tresor de la mer tiles dip us under the ocean with a sea of starfish and shells and a few 3D bubbles for added texture.

4) Elements 2 Aqua from Ceramica Bardelli

Designed by Seletti, the Elements series brings a duo of natural elements to centre stage. One of these elements is the shimmering surface of a turquoise sea which swims across each tile in a delicately dazzling display.

5) Mermaid’s Garden from Ca’ Pietra

A mix and match hex design, these gorgeous tiles from Ca’ Pietra feature underwater flora from seaweed to coral in rich teals, blues, and purples for a layered look full of life.
